On Tuesday North Korea fired a ballistic missile, report from South Korea media outlet  “North Korea launched an unidentified ballistic missile eastward from the vicinity of Pyongsong, South Pyongan Province, at dawn today,” the South Korean Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement.

The launch comes one day after reports surfaced that Japanese government officials had intercepted radio signals suggesting another launch appeared imminent. Pentagon spokesman Robert Manning said Monday that the U.S. was watching North Korea “very closely, we’ll continue to do so.”
